Businesses compensated
Example 1
Mr B, a business customer, complained about the reliability of supply provided by his energy supplier and was seeking compensation for damage to his equipment and loss of business. EOQ met with Mr B and inspected the site to ascertain the extent of the problem. The energy supplier acknowledged there were problems with voltage fluctuations and there had been a high number of interruptions to supply on the electricity network supplying his business.
After intervention by EOQ the customer was given a compensation payout.
Example 2
Ms C contacted EOQ regarding the energy supplier's denial of her company's insurance claim. Ms C claimed a number of expensive items had been damaged as a result of a power surge. EOQ conducted a thorough investigation and determined that due to the technical nature of the problem an on site meeting was required with the customer, EOQ and the energy supplier.
As a result of this meeting the energy supplier agreed that it may have been at fault and agreed to a compensation payment.
