Consumers who are wrongfully disconnected may be entitled to a rebate. This means if the disconnection was not permitted by law or your energy supplier failed to comply with the required disconnection procedures (eg. disconnection occurs at the wrong time i.e. earlier than permitted or on a Friday).
If you believe you are entitled to a rebate and do not receive it automatically, you must make a claim for the rebate from your energy supplier. If your rebate claim is rejected by your energy supplier and you still believe you are entitled to the rebate, you can contact us for assistance.
